Is the Price of Freedom Priceless? Part Two

Definition of Freedom: The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.

Of course, some limitations must apply to the above definition – no one can or should be able to do whatever they want to do, especially unjust acts, without sustaining serious consequences under the law. That’s called anarchy. This is why our freedoms are being threatened each day by identity politics and rioting across the country. Freedom loving people must wake up, before it is too late, we can no longer sit idly by and allow our freedoms to evaporated into thin air right before our very eyes. Yes, the Price of Freedom is definitely Priceless?

Our Founding Fathers, though not perfect, according to godly principles relied on the Providential hand of God and the Bible to guide this fledgling nation. This has been recorded in two historic documents, the Declaration of Independence which states, “… that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights…” and the Constitution of the United States which the first amendment aptly states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,….or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances” In the wisdom of our Founding Fathers, the Bill of Rights were placed first in the Constitution of the United States in order to protect the people from the overreach of government, not the reverse (that is to say, the first 10 amendments).

Our public schools (K-12), our great colleges and universities – such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia – were founded by Christian men who used the Bible as a source of instruction to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world, true freedom. Today our public schools, for decades have falsely claimed “Separation of Church & State” by Liberals and Progressives who indoctrinate our children, rewrite history and oppose everything Christian, biblical and moral. Christians spend tens of thousands of dollars annually sending their children to these public schools and universities. When their children return home, they often denounce their faith and question the veracity of God’s Word. With unlawful maneuverings – politicians, judges, educators and religious leaders – continue successfully to remove any and all vestiges of God, the Christian God, from our society.

In California, Governor Gavin Newsom, based on conflicting medical advice on COVID-19, is forcing churches to lockdown, allowing only 100 people to meet in churches with social distancing, but demanding no singing. What happened to “Separation of Church and State?” Many politicians defend mob violence across the country, are either supportive or afraid to speak out due to fear of retaliation. At the same time, they are allowing marijuana dispensaries, abortion clinics, and other shops to be open. Remember, Nazi Germany. Are we going to allow a similar history to occur here in America too? We the people must decide! Despite America’s past and present problems, it has always defended and promoted the substantial benefits gained by true freedom.

We must keep our eyes forever on the prize, least we inadvertently squander that precious gift, we so dearly love. As I mentioned in Is the Price of Freedom Priceless – Part One, those of us who have tasted the sweet fruit of freedom, and understand its true importance should never allow through force, tyranny or dictatorship our freedoms to be so easily taken away. Freedom, is by necessity priceless. No random monetary value can be placed on it, nor can we through subjective negotiations gauge its proper value, to discover the true meaning of freedom. Those who have never frolicked in the expansive field of freedom – but have only observed those who do enjoy it – often hope and dream that one day they too can experience that evasive gift, called freedom.

So, why have we allowed certain professionals, intellectuals and antagonistic groups in the woke group, both Black and White, to gain such a devastating and divisive foothold upon this nation? We are continuously falling headlong into an abyss of moral depravity. Will we be able to climb out of this abyss? Some leaders are falsely manipulating claims of racial discrimination causing unwarranted hatred towards many of our law-abiding White police officers, who are faithfully put their lives on the line daily to keep our cities safe. But weak-kneed government officials and media pundits around the country are joining sides with the BLM Marxist, racist movement.  This is political, related to the last four years. This has been another desperate attempt by Democrats to defeat President Donald Trump in November 2020. Of course, it will never happen. The question is, how long will We the People allow this chaos to continue?

This is not the first time, nor the last time, that we have been confronted with notions of a divided nation. Our history has been fraught with wars, foreign and domestic, attempting to divide and remove our God given freedoms attempting to subjugate us under a totalitarian dictatorship. But we have historically, as citizens stepped up to the plate, and refused to be subjugated by the rule of nefarious men and women. So, we must again defend this nation against the blankets of tyranny and unanimously usher in a new bright light of hope that will lead us back across the bridge to true American freedom.

In the 1770s, the American Revolution, which was caused by continuous abuses of the British government against American citizens who are looking for a land where they could exercise their faith and freedoms without being incarcerated and victimized. Or the 1860s Civil War, in which family members inflicted untold injuries and loss of over 600,000 men and women lives – caused by the serious imposition of racial injustices that divided the nation. American citizens had to choose to be Free (a Union State) or to be Slaves (a Confederate State).  Many chose to fight and die to be a free state. Give me Liberty or give me Death! It’s often through the molten crucibles of life, that freedom is truly tested, when as a people are forced to deal with those sensitive issues that we frequently desire to ignore.

Our freedoms are being threatened again. During this unprecedent time in our nation’s present history, it is urgent that we firmly recapture the resilient common faith of humanity and meet face-to-face the difficulties attempting to destroy this country and return to our families, our faith and our freedoms. No country is without its faults. We must attempt to regain our freedoms by resolving these delicate problems, both real and/or imagined, in a peaceful and non-violent manner with the common good of all citizens of this great republic in mind.

I believe, that in order to restore some semblance of justice and fairness, we must by necessity, turn back to the True and Living God as stated in Deuteronomy 31:8 and II Chronicles 7:14, “And the Lord, he it is that does go before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you, nor forsake you. Fear not, neither be dismayed” and “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
